Please give me good news...
Ok so I was driving on the interstate last night going about 65 with the truck fully warmed up. I pulled out into the fast lane to pass a Prius and accelerated just enough to downshift and spool up the turbo. The truck did exactly as it should - flew past the tiny little wind up car. However, I glanced out of the rear view mirror and saw a considerable amount of smoke. It was night so I couldn't see what color it was but I could tell there was smoke because the car's headlights behind me were distorted and I could tell that it was due to smoke.
Is that normal??? The truck is bone stock. The oil cooler is healthy, I have no coolant loss, no puking out of the degas bottle, no loss of oil, and no smoke at start up. What caused that? Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app |

When a sudden increase in fuel demand happens the injectors respond faster than the air manage ment system and you get a over rich fuel condition for a few seconds until air management can adjust. The slower air response due to dirty turbo egr etc the more smoke and longer duration of smokeing
