Power Loss and Surging Issue. HELP!!!
I am going to try and be as detailed as possible with this issue. I have already started the trial and error/ process of elimination repair solution. This has been happening for about 8 months now.
What it is doing: -Cranks a long time before it will start (5-8 seconds roughly) whether first start or 10th of the day. -I am going to school on the sea coast and the truck runs fine in the lower elevations. When i am at home (much higher elevation) the truck surges around 50-60 mph and the turbo wont boost it just bucks and surges/ cuts in and out and looses power. If i stomp it to the floor it will come out of it. -With the SCT turned on it has good power, If i turn the SCT off it couldn't get out of its own way. What I have done: -Replaced EBP sensor twice and the EBP sensor tube. -Head Gaskets and studs. -Cleaned turbo and had examined by three different mechanics. -Has an EGR delete -Matt Robinson's tunes erase the EGR trouble codes. -HPOP was replaced two years ago -Ordered a new MAP sensor haven't installed it yet though I am just completely at loss as to what is going on here and getting really frustrated, any help is greatly appreciated! |

You need to check your batteries weak or bad batteries will kill the FICM this will give a bad rough idle at startup because the voltage is to low must be 45v or higher if under 45v you will be killing your injectors.
