Coolant refill question after flush

I recently did a coolant flush with Restore and Restore+. I drained the system through lower radiator hose and driver side of the block during the flush and on the last one, I also drained it on the passenger side of the block. Went through more than 30 gallons of distilled water.

I know it is supposed to be around 7 gallons full capacity. When I filled it up for ELC, I was only able to fill it with 4 gallons. I was not able to add any distilled water.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance.

Run the truck to burp the air out. The heater core and lines will be full of water from the flush. Just add distilled water as the air is expelled. This may take a few days as it did with mine when I flushed.

4 gallons sounds about right, even if you are opening both block drains. All the more reason to flush multiple times since so much stays in the system.

You are using full strength coolant right? If you have bottles of 50/50 you will never get it to the proper strength.
