rough starting
This morning i got in and started my truck (03 f-250 with the 6.0). Started right up fine, then a few seconds it started idling really rough and starting dumping out black smoke. It eventually stalled. Started right back up and ran pretty rough for awhile, it almost stalled a few times. I've only had the truck for 2 months and last night was the coolest night since ive had it, it got down to about 45. Is this normal for that tempeture? It wasnt even cool enough for the wait to start light to come on. I hate to see what it does when I have to start it and its 10 out!

Did you ever let it get warm & did it straighten out?
This still isn't normal - something is going on. |

It was when i first started it and was letting it warm. Once it warmed up it was fine but 45 degrees isnt even cold!

Even at 20* mine will fire right up no issues. I would think about taking it into the dealership to get it looked at if I was you.
