Blue Spring Question
So I just put in the new blue spring....and just to clarify, it is the OEM one from Ford. My question is this: While I was changing it out, I noticed a green o-ring in the pack. The only place I saw a green o-ring was in the fuel filter housing itself. I put it on the "guide" the you slip the fuel filter over when putting it in the housing. Not sure if that is being clear enough or not. The reason I ask is because the o-ring that was already there seemed to be a little beefier than the one i put in which was in the kit. I searched through the forum and couldn't find an answer, and none of the instructions i found really seemed to go into detail about the o-ring install. Haven't driven it yet, but it seems to be running fine at idle. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge yet, but I do have an Edge Insight CTS. Can somebody with knowledge on this please chime in. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure the greenish oring is for where the return line connects to the adapter. It sits inside the end of the adapter. Mine didn't fit so I left the old one on there. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's where it is ment to go. Hope this helps

It does. It lets me know that I prob put the wrong o-ring in the fuel bowl. Weird that it doesn't seem to be making a difference though. Guess I need to find a new o-ring set. Thx

Did you throw your old o-ring out?

No, I still have it for reference. Problem is I chopped it up pretty good when I was taking it off.

I appreciate it. I'm gonna hit up napa tomorrow and see if they have anything. Only thing I found so far was the whole kit which was like $40. Thx again.

Just curious, does the factory ford kit come with installation instructions?

No, it does not. It comes with a very generic pic (that you can't see what is what) and thats it.

I had same problem once I got my blue spring kit i thought same and poked out my green o ring on fuel housing standpipe.... well i searched and found you so maybe this will help others too... dealer wanted $40 for entire standpipe, I went to NAPA and found a fuel o-ring set, 1 was perfect, was $8 for entire box. Same Size a slight bit smaller but thats fine since old one is stretched out.
