only when cold

ok so a few weeks ago some a hole decided he needed my gas cap more than i , just the other morn wife says truck sputters and wants to die when she puts in reverse . yesterday i bought a gas cap and changed both fuel filters they say they are water separating filters but it just looked like a regular element to me . so im hoping this was my issue .ity only did this when cold soon as it warmed up it was fine!!!!STROKEDIS

As stated need to check your FICM, how old are your batteries number one kill. The price of a new ficm around $1100 from Ford or you can have your rebuilt at BPD Repair Ford FICM Module for $300

it fires right up idles like its suppose to and if i give it a little gas it responds ,then you put in gear and it seems fine then starts to stumble . once its wartmed up for a bit its fine!!! how do i go about checkin voltage at ficm!!STROKEDIS

sounds like stiction to me. try 5w-40 synthetic oil next change and look into rev-x additive. the synthetic helps but rev-x works really well in almost every case.
