New injectors still rought start

OK I just had gotten my truck back two weeks ago from getting headgaskets and studs. They also installed a set of Warren Diesel injectors for me. The truck starts and runs like crap. So I checked the FICM and the volts never drop below 48V during start up and idle.
The shop says new injectors I got are crappy but it does not throw any codes when it scans. I had two bad injectors and 4 going out before the change. The truck starts worse than before. Any thoughts? I plan on calling Jess Warren this week if I can't figure it out.

Need to start checking fuel pressure, injector harness, FICM connections, icp ect... I don't know if I've ever heard of anyone getting a bad set if injectors from him. But anything is possible

Thanks for telling me what to check, but I have no idea how check the fuel press. I have checked the FICM connectors and they are good and tight.

this isnt the cheapest route but a edge insight cs or cts with a eas fuel pressure sensor. so you can monitor everything all the time.

Also, just because the FICM voltage checks out doesn't mean the FICM isn't bad.

I have that seen that but what other ways are there to check the FICM. Can the original edge insight check fuel pressure? As that is what I have.

My truck is going in this week for gaskets and studs. I'll be doing the warren injectors on my own to save $$$$...I'm interested in what you find.

This sounds like we have a similar issue.

I just replaced all 8 of my injectors due to a few of them deciding to quit. I used OEM rebuilt units from Performance Machine.

I replaced the frame mounted pump at the same time (weak pump killed the injectors).

My FICM never drops below 47.5V.

When it drops below 20* over night, I get a shakey start with 3-4 seconds of "the romps". It clears up very quickly. This just started last week.

Once the engine is very warm (30+ min), I can get it to give a slight shudder/miss. This has been happening for about 6 months. I thought I fixed it once I put in the new injectors and pump. Wrong.

I still suspect my FICM is on the way out. I believe once heat soak sets in, something inside is breaking its contact due to something expanding. My FICM was replaced by the dealer about 2 years ago.

I will follow this thread as well. Please post results once you have it fixed.
