Any one heard of intake problems on any of the 6.0s? I was in town this morning, stopped at a light and my truck started missing very bad and over fueling. tons of unburnt fuel bellowing out of the pipe. Limped it to the local ford store. Anyway,
the service writer is telling me it sucked the intake gaskets in because of the aftermarket aircleaner! Makes no sense to me. Any quesses so I will have some response to the dealer ? Thanks only 4500 miles 500 since tuner installed Oh also the engine light did not come on if that helps

WWWHHHHOOOOAAAA....those intake gaskets are plastic with rubber linings, and i have seen aftermarket air boxes cause problems, but it wouldnt cause this IMO.......sounds to me like a cut and dry bad injector or maybe even more than one..... i would reccomend taking that truck to another dealer if there is one close. DONT drive it, you could end up with a runaway if its dropping htat much fuel..........Marc

Well, The info I wrote came from the service writer and not the diesel tech the tech is at school till Friday. I work on diesel heavy equip. AND i was under the same impression way too much fuel dumped in the cylinders for the pcm to be doing to compensate for an intake gasket. Do you think the pcm going into a defalt would pour that much fuel? This thing has got my gut tied up Cant take it one someone else has to fix things!!! Thanks for differnt things to ponder. just put in the economy mode from sct was on performance now back to stock but still dumping buckets of fuel Im sure the cylinders got washed down also. Now Im babling I want my truck home! HA HA
