Wondering if anyone wants to voice thier opinion ! I have a 05 /F250 w/157,000 miles on it. I've deleted the EGR & Cooler, replaced the oil cooler, flushed the coolant and put in Rotilla. I pull a 3,800lb boat and trailer and a car trailer with my truck. Never had any problems with power or smoking or anything!! except . It occasionally pucks out the degas bottle, I've replace the cap , I run the level at the min. mark. I haven't installed gauges yet so all I have to go by is stock dash gauges ! but they stay around the same all the time!!! Any ideas whats going on ?

You need to pressure check your degas bottle to see how much pressure your coolant system is under. If the pressure shoots up to 19psi or so under boost you may have a bad head gasket. You should also get some gauges to see what temps you are running. If you are on a budget go out and get a scangauge II for around $125 but either way you need to get something to monitor your temps and volts. But to me it sounds like your head gaskets are bad.

I have to keep my level about 1/2-3/4 of an inch below the minimum level mark or mine will puke it out. Check out the other items mentioned above but it may be something similar to my situation.

Here is a link on how to test your degas pressure. I bought the parts in my local store instead of renting this unit. I used a 25psi gauge instead of 15psi. If you have a pool store near you you can buy the rubber plug and gauge at that store. The 2 fittings and hose you will need you can get at your local auto store. Its not hard to put one of these together if you have the time. Maybe I should rent mine out..... Hmmmm ......

After watching one of the videos of these guy's doing a head on a 6.0 I'm scared to run the pressure test I saw the hero tester and read your post what does the plug do keep coolant from going into the guage ?

Forget the plug.. I messed up and was thinking about the bubble tester where you use the plug. The hero tester is only 2 fittings, about 10' of hose and a pressure gauge. Just like the video.. Sorry for the mix up...
