Coolant on my driveway !!
I just did the egr cooler delete and new oil cooler. Truck runs fine other than starting. I got home today and noticed a 1ft by 1ft puddle of coolant under my truck. It looks as if it is coming from passenger side somewhere. No oil or coolant in the valley of the engine. Best I can tell is it probably drips 4 to 5 drops per hour since it has been sitting overnight and all day. I dont have a clue where it could be coming from. Oil is fine, looks brand new. I have my intake gaskets on correctly. Maybe coming from the underneath of the intake? But like i said, the engine valley is bone dry. Any ideas?

There are a few coolant connections on the intake. Underneath, check the area around where the "big donut" o-ring sits, and where the EGR delete connects.
Then, check the nipple on top of the intake, and the coolant hose from the oil cooler cover to the delete pipe. That about covers where you could have a coolant leak, unless the delete pipe itself is leaking. |
