Truck running too hot ?
I just did the egr cooler delete and new oil cooler. My water temp is 202 and oil is 208. I drove the truck for about an hour this evening and after i parrked it,approximately 1 hour later i went outside and my hood was still very hot and also the engine. Is this normal. It would burn you if you left your hand on it too long. All the factory gauges never left the half way mark. Any thoughts ? I also have the sinister coolant filter and i touched the top of the mount and it was also extremely hot.

I take it you have a way to moniter engine data? Your temps are not that crazy. All depends on how hard you were driving it and what the max temps you see are. The thermostat doesn't fully open till 219 on these trucks. So a ECT of 202 isn't that bad.

yeah but will the truck be that hot after an hour of sitting there? Maybe I'm just paranoid but i thought it would of cooled off after an hour.

Well, how hot something is to touch is not a good way to tell if the engine cooling system is working ok. As long as the ECT temps are normal when driving then I wouldn't worry about it.
