EGR delete gone wrong?

I just did the egr cooler delete/ new oil cooler package from sinister. The truck had a rough time getting started. I took it down the road and it started to shutter and vibrate. I mashed on the pedal and a loud tinking sound came from under the hood and a puff of black smoke shot out the exhaust. Long story short, on a five mile run, it would shutter when giving it the pedal. Stocpped at the store and when i got back in, it wouldnt start. After cranking and cranking it started but it sounded like their were pipes and parts banging under the hood( while still shuttering). only reason why I did this was my oil cooler was clogged up. Other than that, truck ran fine. I was thinking that it may have air in the fuel line? My ficm on my scan gauge shows 48 volts. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Oh, i did not change the oil since it was brnd new 5w40 rotella syn and coolant was brand new zerex ec-1.

Take it out and beat it like a redheaded step child if you cleaned the HPOP reservoir down to nothing. You got air in the high pressure oil system.

If that doesn't cure what ails it, get a new IPR screen kit and replace that. If you got alot of junk on it, you might even need a new IPR, but with it running at all, probably not.
