Truck hesitates on acceleration
I have an 2007 F350
I have been having a problem with a long crank issue yet to be resolved... Anyways everyone said go get your batteries checked so today I got an oil change done and before the oil change it would just hesitate in the mornings let it run for 15 mins and it was good ran like a dream now it does the same thing but all the time maybe it has to do with the HPOP that maybe leads to my 30 second cranks when warm? soo back to the batteries got them checked there good so I said what about the alternater and they checked it was weak... maybe this hesitation is loss of power? because It feels like a loss of power just driving around town... On the high way going up hills instead of dropping down a gear the truck jerks loss of power? tranny going? I HOPE NOT... or I know the rear differential is going but you dont notice it its just my mechanic said theres alot of play in the gears or whatever.. Maybe the rear end got worse? cant see it happening that instant.. Any thoughts or opinons on WTF is going on? |

Just put a new alternator on and it still does it seems like a bit of a power loss and then power comes back like I let off the gas and give it... On the highway in overdrive it jerks when hitting an incline I have to turn it off put the pedal to the floor before it shifts down... I need help...and I need it soon I dont got much money to take it in and blow 1500 bucks...
I can do the work myself its just not knowing what to fix.

Wish I could help you but I dont know what the Fugg you just said, someone will chime in and give you an answer "hopefully". I am in the same boat, dont have much money to spend on fixing truck problems would rather do it myself to save money. If i were you i would got to a mechanic ( not dealership) that is familiar with these trucks and let him diagnose it then fix it yourself. I have a guy who is excellent with these 6.0's and he charges 75 dollars to diagnose problems but I live in Louisiana. The guys on here are awesome with helping also but it is hard for them to give a true disgnosis without actually looking at the truck and listening to it.

So...I read up on this additive called REV-X
after reading about it I just had to have it for some reason but the only distruibuter was 2 hours away. I called him and told him my problem.. He wasnt sure excactly he said he had a scanner better than fords and would scan it for a decent price... He sounded like he had faith so... I drove up there and wasnt sure if the truck would even make it, But I did. He scanned it no codes came up... So he checked FICM volts where good. Said injector 4 was weak got to the point it couldnt go up a hill it would just shake and shimmy hesitate ran like garbage so I put the REV-X in my oil two bottles at first 40 bucks a pop then once at even oil change after that to keep the injectors for longer. I took off from his small shop and not even ten minuite out of town back on the highway it quit jerking wasnt hesitant looked down and I was going 130...Up hill, It was like I put two bottles of steroids in my truck it just grew its balls back bigger and better than they ever where when I first bought it... Fuel millage was even better on the trip home and it was all up hill I cant believe how fast it worked blew my mind so neatless to say trucks running AMAZING and turns out my long crank is my HPOP casings cracked. Im extreamly impressed with the results hope this answers the same questions for a few others
