HELP. Black smoke and grinding after turbo clean

Hey, I just pulled my turbo and did the clean cause I have been getting some bad lag. Everything went smooth but now after I drove for a few miles, I was puffing large amounts of black smoke and theres a grinding sound on the right side under my hood. I checked my coolant because a bunch of it dripped out when I had the hose unplugged for the turbo clean. The coolant is very very low. I only drove the truck for about 20 blocks and parked it before I checked this. What could this grinding be? It doesnt sound like its coming from the turbo. And why am I puffing more black smoke then when I had my truck programmed? Could it be the egr reacting cause of the low coolant levels? Any help is appreciated.
