6.0 surge

So i am getting a surg in my truck while its in park after i pull a trailer for a while or drive on the beach. it sounds almost as if the torqu converter is locking in and out at idle. after the truck cools it does not do this. any suggestions?

un plug the egr connector when ur truck is cold to make sure the egr is closed..then do ur towing and see if it surges then...if no change then u can rule out ur egr being at fault...which in alot of cases is the culprit...it maybe a turbo issue too..if ur under warrenty (5yr/100k) take it in and spend the $100 to have them go through it and replace stuff
