battery light has led to a no-start

truck won't start now, started running rough this weekend, few days before that the bat light had come on and went back off. It's at the dealer now to get fixed. What ya'll think ? the alternator , ficm, or both? Someone had posted if the bat light comes on ,get it fixed asap .I think they were right. Anyway , hope this helps someone else .

If the battery light comes on the alternator isn't charging for whatever reason. Bad alternator, wire, or gauge cluster. If you've run your batteries that low then you took a big chance of damaging your FICM also.
