Battery Light Problem

Ok here's my latest problem. It happened once or twice a couple months ago and it's come back and has been happening frequently. While driving the truck at any given time, the battery light on the dash will come on. No check engine light has ever come on. Sometimes if I rev it up it will clear but when idle comes back down, the light comes back on. It goes away for a few seconds sometimes. Sometimes it goes away for a few days. Then it will come back and stay on for half the day. Very inconsistent and unpredictable. Dealership tells me it needs to be on while Im there or there's nothing to check for. Im getting tired of this. It only has 12,000 miles and the only mod is an after cat exhaust.

could it be a loose cable on the bats?

Checked all cables to and from batteries as well as alternator. Nothing wrong, nothing loose etc.

Maybe its a soft code did u pull codes on it? Maye that is it im sure someone with more knowledge will be along to help I am just giving my 2cents. SOrry if I am no help ~!~
