Fords buy back program?
I know it has been quite a while since I have been able to get on here and I wish it was under better circumstances!
Okay my question is for anyone who has had Ford buy back their trouble some truck. I have an '04 F350 CC DRW with the infamous 6.0. I bought the truck brand new in April of '04. I started having problems with it after just 10,000 miles. The Egr valve took a dump on me and guess what, my truck is back in the shop for the EGR valve and turbo again!!! This makes the 6th time for the EGR and the second time for the turbo. I have lost all confidence in this truck! IT ONLY HAS 52,000 MILES ON IT!!!! I do every thing to the book and drive it hard like suggested but it seems like every 10,000 miles the blasted EGR goes on it. I am going to go in and have a sit down with the owner of the dealership where we bought the truck and see if he can help us out. Rumor has it that he has helped 3 other people get their trucks bought back by Ford for problems. I would not complain but I have no confidence in the truck anymore. I can only imagine what it will be like after 100,000 miles on it. Any info would be greatly appreciated! I will try to keep you posted as to what is all going on with it! THANKS GUYS! |

Your on the right path. Buybacks are easy here in california...they are a little tougher elsewere. The key is getting the service manager on board trying to help you, then he will be leading the regional rep in the right direction for you. Make sure to be calm about it and stay reasonable. That will go a long way with it.....

ford will buy it back or consider a buy back if it falls under your states lemon law specifics. i talked to my local service manager a while ago, when i was having alot of issues with my truck, i was told that utahs lemon law states, the vehicle must have been in for the same repair 7 times within a 12 month period. then and only then will ford consider the buy back. i dont know your states lemon laws, but i would check into it. i hope everything goes well for you, good luck and im sorry about all the troubles you have had. if they buy it back are you gonna stay with ford?
