in need of some info

i have a 03 f350 CC it has the 6.0 15 inches of lift and 39.5 boggers with edge box and 5 inch stacks 23k miles. the other day i got up for work and got in the truck it started and idled fine i put in reverse and backed up 10 feet and it shut off and wouldnt restart it just cranked and cranked i called off and worked on it all day. my buddy and i could not figure out what was wrong. come to find out that when the oil pumps go out of it the injectors wont open.and we tested the oil preasure when we cranked it and there was none and the ford garage says to fix it the parts alone will cost $5.800. my question is does anyone no where i can find a wrecked ford with a 6.0 for parts. and my other question is i have my egt set at 1300 on my edge box but when im pullin my car trailor up a hill my egt's go up about 1100 and the backdown kicks in and the truck starts to shut down what could be wrong. i have sent the edge box back to see it it was it. it came back fine now i checked all the wiring and put a new temp sensor in the excaust. does anyone have any idea what to do.any info i could get would be great.

i would set the backdown to begin at 1200.... and let me get this right they are charging you over 5k just for a HPOP?

yep thats what they say it costs i hope i can find a way to do it cheaper

they are trying to rip you off... you can get aftermarket HPOP that are way better than stockers for cheaper than that.... a lil late out here in cali so im heading to bed but ill send you over some info on some HPOP in the morning

Yeah sounds like a fishy deal...especially since the connector on the pump may have popped off.I will send you some info momentarily.

FDDTS - 6.0L ICP System Leaks

Take special note of photo 5 and 6. You might even take a printout of this down to your ford garage and ask them why they arent aware of this common
failure in those two years??? Amnesia or did they stop treating their decent diesel techs right and they went elsewhere???? . Personally , i would give them a chance at accountability....but dont hold your breath.

This reminds me of a question I have wondered for the last 20 years....."Whose freaking bright idea was ORINGS???" I sure hope none of them are in my vehicles brake lines??? (I hope DOT still requires double
flare fittings .)
