Programmer

I'm looking for a quality programmer for my 04 6.0. I'd like to have the extra horsepower and torque but I'd really like to have some digital readout gauges on the programmer module. Does that XCalibrator offer that? Any other good programmers somebody would recommend? I haul campers full time so I need something that will last.

I dont know if it will help but I'm going with the SCT Livewire. Rodslinger did a writeup on it in the tech section and everywhere I have read has said SCT is awesome if not the best especially with all the custom tunes and such.

i just installed a PPE Xcelerator on a 04 6.0L and all i can say is wow what a difference and he increased his fuel economy by 2.5 mpg over stock,one of the first things he did was race his sons 05 6.0L with edge and some other engine modds(i forget what all he has on his PSD but i was thinking he said some injecters and a bigger turbo of some sort)needles to say his son is getting one guess he didn't like to be beat by a less modded diesel..

I agree the SCT is the best tuner for the 6.0L. That is just my opinion. The Livewire has the digital readouts that you are seeking. I have heard good and bad things about it, but I believe that they have worked alot of the issues out. I personally have the XCAL 2 and gauges. There is nothing like custom tuning! There are many good vendors out there who sell the tuners and tunes. If I can be of any other help just shoot me a pm.

I would just do a pillar pod and the Xcal. I think you can do it cheaper in the long run. I have a commander, and it is a very nice unit. It does have its limitations though.

SCT all the way, there is no other tunner out there that is as good as the sct is for the 6.0 motor. I have herd really bad stories about the Predator, edge, and a few others that just dont make me feel to good. this is just my 2 cents tho. if you talk to more of the 6.0 guys they are mainly running the sct.
