No Power HELP
The past couple of days my truck has been acting up. Yesterday while driving up the interstate I was running along about 75 mph and decided to hit it a little bit, I layed into the throttle and nothing it barely revved up maybe 200 more RPM's and just stayed there. I let off and went back to driving normal and everything was fine. This morning while on my way to work I decided to get on it from a red light and it just eased off, the engine wouldn't wrap up but it'll drive fine when normally applying the pedal. I just changed both of my fuel filters last week and my truck has 18,000 miles on it, I have a straight pipe and SCT. any suggestions TIA Oh yeah I've been running Bio-diesel also, but so have my dad and brother in there Cummins and they have'nt had any problems.

remove the sct and redownload it. I know you may have tried this already but try again. It is easy and cheap, it may also be the cause to your problem. When you remove the sct take it for a drive and see if everything is normal. Then download the sct program and see if your extra power is back.

aprreciate it, I've already thought of that, I'm gonna go out on my lunch break and set it back to stock and hopefully the problem will go away, if not I'm gonna fill up with diesel and try to drive the rest of the week and take it easy (maybe something to do with the bio diesel?) if I still have the problem I guess I'll take it back to the dealer but I really really don't want to do that, wonder if I should go to the muffler shop and have them weld my factory exhaust back on. My dealer told me that the straight pipe would void the warranty if anything related to the exhaust went out but for anything else it would be fine.

pull codes on this vehicle before changing your program , even if light hasnt come on its very possible to have set a egr code or turbo code , sounds to me more like on of these components could be acting up

ok, will do thanks scuffy, your right no cel lights yet but Ill pull the codes with my sct, will that be sufficient?

yes that will do, let me know what you get if any , seen alot of low mileage trucks with turbos acting up and sticking , may not be your problem , but if you change your progam before puling codes it wil erase anything it has stored
