"Open Doors" Light Issues

Hey everyone i have a hopefully quick question. Has anyone had trouble with their door sensors? Right now no matter how many times i shut each door, the red light shows that i have doors open. I even had to remove my dome light. Does anyone have any suggestions? My truck is an 04 xlt extended cab 6.0 auto if that makes any difference. Thanks

Take WD-40 and spray in each door latch (on the door) straight down into the mechanism. Then open and close each door several times should fix ya right up.

Thanks, i appreciate it! I will try that later tonight. Is this a common problem or something that at least can be prevented by occasionally spraying some wd40 in there?

That didnt seem to fix the issue. However i did forget to mention that my driverside rear door doesnt open. When i bought the truck i was told that the latches were stuck and that it would simply open after it had been soaked with liquid wrench. Well i got the top free but the bottom still wont unlatch. Does anyone think that this could also be causing issues? I do plan on fixing that once the weather is warmer, and it hasnt given me any issues yet. I will try again tonight with the wd-40. Thanks much

I do not know how a super cab works, that is if there is a door switch on the back doors or not? The door switch on a crew cab is on all 4 doors and the switch is closed when the door is closed. Sometimes that sticks which is why the WD-40 works. My passenger side recently did this and the door switch was new within the last 3 years.

Well i assume that if several people suggested the same thing it will work. I just have to do it again, its not really a big deal right now because there is almost no power draw when the truck is off because of the light removal. I just hate when my dash has warning lights. I'll try again tonight and see if that helps at all. I do have to take my rear door apart anyway, so we'll see if that has anything to do with it as well.

Also, i used liquid wrench the first time (couldnt find the wd40) and wd40 the second time (it was def in the truck under stuff). Ill post more when i get off work and have a chance to re-spray it agian. Thanks for all of the help.
