Straight Pipe Question/Mileage

I have an 04 6.0 It has had a First Coast Diesel Performance EGR delte, an AFE air intake and Factory exhaust straight piped.

Is it possible that removing the muffler and Converter hurt my fuel mileage? It seems as since the muffler was removed that mileage has went to pot.

Any suggestions?

I removed my converter and added magnaflow muffler and gained one mile per gallon. I wouldnt think removing should have any affect on the milage.

It shouldnt have any affect on your mileage. What it will do is lower your EGT's and sound a heck-of-a-lot better.

What you need to do is just answer the following question honestly: How much harder are you driving the truck now than you were previously? I lost a bit of mileage for several months after I straight-piped mine simply due to the fact that I was romping on it more just because I enjoyed hearing it. Once I got over that and started driving normally again, my mileage is back where it was!
