problem with performance

this is a question for my dad as he is computer illeterate and has been having problems with is 04 6.0. he had an injector go out, he had a superchip program, took it out and brought it to the dealership to have it changed. the dealership had to do something with computer and reprogramed it or reflashed it or something. he got the truck back and we to put the super chip back on but the truck wouldn't accept it. he contacted superchips, sent it to them, they updated it and now the truck accepts it, but it doesn't run anything like it used to. it won't spin the tires, shifts very sluggish, it slows down down 3 - 5 mph between second to third shifts. nothing like what it used to be. he went to a shop where they have the new models of supechips and even tried one of those and its still the same. what are his options? i don't know too much about the powerstrokes, i know the predator programmer works well on the chevy's. is there anywhere that reprograms the factory computer to get back like it used to be? superchips told him that there was nothing else they could do to get back like it was.

its a "programmer" that will trake out the factory tuning and replace it with custom tuning that will make yur truck run like a raped ape
