testing glow plugs

does anyone know how to test glow plugs?

2004 f250 6.0L crew cab, auto, lifted with 35's, 6" miters, afe stage 2, sct

easy disconect glow plug harness hook up one end of the test light to positive side of battery than touch the wires in the plug one at the time if test light lights up it's ok or check resistance 0.5 - 2.0 ohms

why bother? if one fails on a 6.0 it'll set a code otherwise they are working

well im not gettin any codes but my truck doesnt start after it sets for 8 hours while im at work. i have to pray that it starts. it never starts the first time even after i cycle the plugs a few times
