EGR Delete - HPOP Removal
I am down to the final steps (I think) for replacing the STC fitting on my HPOP. There are (3) star-head bolts holding the HPOP down - is there anything else to disconnect before I pull it out? What about the oil line running from the bottom of the STC fitting?
Also, I would like to get rid of the EGR while I've got this all disassembled. Do I need to take out the EGR cooler itself or is it just the EGR valve that needs to go? Any links to that process? Thanks, guys. |

I am a newb...and may be off base.
But to get rid of the EGR - you need an EGR delete kit. You will be getting rid of the EGR Valve and EGR Cooler, and putting in a new downpipe. I just got the kit from Sinister. This page shows the kit - and has a link to a guided delete kit install. Well worth checking out. 6.0L Ford Powerstroke EGR Delete Kit The rest I cannot help you with. |
