brake light problem!

I came home today in the dark and when i turned off my lights i noticed i had no brake lights illuminated when my foot was on the pedal. I pulled a few fuses and none were blown. I then tried again and all the lights worked beside the center brake light on the cab, it was to late to pull the cover off and check the bulbs to see if was blown. Anyone have insight? I was told that the bulb might be blown in the center cab light that caused a short that did not blow the fuses completely. Let me know guy cause its isnt cool to drive witout brake lights
