This is an egr delete. Elite Diesel 6.0L External Engine Parts
It is a warranty VOID item, so If your concerned about your warranty forget it. Is his truck an 05? My husbands 05 blew the hpop out at 34000 miles. |

what relevance does the HPOP have to the EGR cooler? As well, what can your local Motor Vehicle Divisions department do to find out that you have bypassed the EGR? is there a way they can tell that it is bypassed by hooking up the smog machine?
thanks |

If you just do the egr delete and have a tuner that can clear th CEL then you good. They don't do the tailpipe test here. |

In Phoenix they do the tailpipe test, would they know right away?

I'm from Phoenix. I remember the test stations being state owned & run. They would know of your EGR delete when they looked under hood for the emissions devises. As far as I know, this is the only way thay would be able to tell. Here in Ca., smog stations are independent of state agencies, therefore, I've had less scrutiny on other vehicles,(my truck doesn't get smogged).
