NEW member a few issues.

First off thanks to the many members on here that are super helpfull.

Ive read for months before I just went and bought a 03 6.0 Excursion. I would have never gotten it if I listened to the BS that Ive gotten from out side this forum.. Most people think the 6.0 is nothing but a big pile of junk..

ok so a few things.


I go to start it up today and nothing but crank crank crank.. I let the glow plugs warm up and nothing..I did this 4 times and on the 4th it started.

A few notes. The truck is 150% OEM Stock. the fuel filter and lines were just replaced about 4000 miles ago and the oil is semi fresh. The miles are 195,000 other then the back heater controls not working and what seems to be a few rattles from the under carrage and suspension the truck seems flawless

Now from reading on here I would think I need to check my glow plugs or look at my FMIE.

I would love to hear anyother thoughts on this and my biggest one is if its one of the above is there any tips on how to start the truck in the mean time with the cold temps till I figgure out whats stopping it from starting.
