Problem with surging
Ok, I have searched and searched for threads about the problems I am having and I have tried about everything that has been suggested but no luck fixing the problem.
I get a surging in my truck when it goes into overdrive (i.e the TC locks). It surges as soon as it locks up but seems to smooth out a bit once I get above 65. It is worst when it is between 45-65. So far I have done a EGR delete and an SCT with the SLR tune from Matt, I just put a new torque converter in this weekend (this seemed to help a little but not completely). I have checked all drive shaft components as well. I have tried putting the stock setting back into the ECU and the surging isn't as bad as it is with the SLR tune on it but the difference is very small. At one time I had two Fault codes, P0113 and P0266, but the last time I check with my Edge Insight they weren't there. I didn't do anything to fix either of these either. I am lost and am not sure where else to look, do I just bite the bullet and take it to the stealership? It is a 2005 F250 crew cab Fx4 on 35's, it has a 4.5 exhaust with a cat delete pipe, Sinister EGR delete, SCT tuner with Matts SLR tune. IT has 103K and regular maintenance. Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry for the long post. Thank you |

Transmission lurching 45-50 mph
I'm having a similar problem with lurching at 45-50 mph when the truck is cold. Leaving my house in the morning, I have to drive about two miles at speeds no higher than 30 mph. After that I can't drive faster than 50 mph for another two miles. I took the truck to Ford and complained about the transmission. They tried to convince me it was dirty injectors and sell me a flush job. They even kept the truck overnight and supposedly test drove it in the morning. They didn't fix the problem.
A neighbor gearhead told me it was probably in the ECU. The transmission wants to shift between 4th and 5th and the program needs a fix. Any help or confirmation would be helpful. Thanks 2006 F-250 6.0L 135,000 miles |

Both of these problems could be caused by a bad injector, especially dirtybrother1's issue. Good luck.
