04 6.0 No start sometimes..need help!!!

try to make this as short as possible:

took truck to dealer 2 weeks ago..told them truck wouldnt start sometimes. example i would drive my truck to work and when i would go to leave work hrs later it would crank and crank, but no start. after waiting an hour or so i would go back out there and truck would start like nothing was wrong. Dealer replaced FICM and 2 weeks later truck did the same thing, only problem is that this time i waited and tried to start it and nothing..waited some more and it never started. so i had it towed in and dealer just called me and said need to replace whole wiring harness, 1500 bucks not covered under my extended powertrain warranty!! damnittt

im just wondering if anyone has had this problem...the diesel tech said that there is no FICM SYNC. so he went to wiring harness and wiggled and wiggled then all of a sudden it started...im gunna take it to a local AUTO ELECTRICAL guy i know and let him take a look first..any ideas or thoughts would be a HUGE help!! thanks guys

there is a problem with the injector harness coming loose/unconnected at the valve cover gasket. They make clips to stick in the connector to secure it. Pretty common 6Ls. They wiggle loose over time and cut out signals to the injectors. Sometimes they just cause running rough problems, other times it causes a no start. Take your valve covers off and see if the connector has backed out.
