Stalling at the track!

Last night my truck died twice at the track. When I would do my burnout (mainly to get the water off the tires after I had to drive through it) when I would let off my truck after having it revved spining real hard it would just die. Sorta like I was just cutting it off. Maybe going from almost WOT to nothing was just too much defueling???????????????????????????
