FICM Replacement

Just recieved my new FICM that I bought off of ebay, but I do not know if I need to have it reprogrammed by Ford, or if I can plug it in now and it will be fine?powerstroke ficm : eBay Motors (item 300421958863 end time Apr-30-10 07:57:16 PDT)

If it was pulled from a running truck, it should just plug right in and fire up. If not, you will need to have it reprogrammed.

FICM Answer

Can I ask why you replaced the FICM? My 04 F250 battery light and FICM Low Voltge keep comming on an have loss of power, can you help thanks.

Are you having the low voltage DTC's on several cylinders? Is your truck turning over as fast as it ever has? If your batteries are weak, replace them both. Bad batteries are also bad for FICM's. You may need 2 new batteries and a new FICM. Possibly try the batteries first, and maybe get them tested individually.

It was my battery cables. They were all corroded, dealer wants $300 plus for them. WTF!
