Warrenty Question

My truck is in the shop puking coolant out of the cap again and now they are giving me the run around. I had new APR head studs put in last year and EGR delete all done by for and recommended by the tech. It was done under warranty and I thought at that time it would keep my warranty. Now it is at a different dealer and Ford has said they are not to do any of the work under warranty due to aftermarket products. The way the last dealer put it was this was a better fix and my warranty would stay in place but guess not. Now stuck trying to fight with Ford over this expensive fix whatever it maybe. We have been making calls to Ford and seeing what else can be done just a big headache. ANY IDEAS???

Your dealer that did the work didn't give you the correct info about the warranty!

My egr cooler and headgaskets went out at 35k mi. and my dealer installed ARP studs in it and agreed that they are more reliable than stock bolts.
They made it clear to me that if there was a problem they would fix it under warranty but that if the truck went to a different dealer for warranty work it most likely would not be warranteed!!!

Can you take it to the dealer that did the work under warranty? I would have done that before going anywhere else.

Do you have a reciept, or go to the dealer that did the previous work and get a copy of the work order and a warranty statement. If not, get very agressive with them. Start calling everyone you know. Push hard!!!!! Good Luck ...Steve

Sounds like the easy fix to me is to take it back to the dealer that put the studs in for you. They obviously know the weak links to this engine and fixed them. If they put them in I dont think they would have any problem in working on it.
