Need a FICM question answered ASAP

In a few hours I have to leave for LA and it's about 350 miles. My FICM is currently at 35 volts with the truck running. The CEL comes and goes. My Swamp's FICM probably won't be here until next week or later. So the question is, can I hurt anything running the truck like it is? Can I damage the injectors? Would I be risking anything more than it crapping out on me?

It's my understanding that a bad FICM can indeed cause injector damage, but I have no idea how long it would take to do damage. Personally, if you don't have to drive the truck, you should wait until your FICM arrives, why risk it?

I would not run it, for one it may more than likely leave you stranded, and wipe out a few of your injectors. low voltage to the injector solenoids can be detremental to them in the long run.

I wasn't so much worried about being stranded, just afraid that I could damage the injectors. We actually didn't make it down to LA, the rental car fell through. Oh well, I'm sure there'll be other weddings

Nope, it got to Swamp's Diesel on Saturday. I'll give Jonathan a call tomorrow and see how long it'll be before I get it back. Soon I hope, I keep walking by this SCT sitting in a box on my desk and it's calling my name
