i just bought a 06 6.0, i want to check all the basics, like filters and whatever. this is my first diesel. I need your advice. in order of importance.. and just things that I can do.. what should i check, and do you have a link showing me how to?

How many miles are on the truck?

1. Get an Oasis report
2. Change oil and filter
3. Change fuel filters
4. Change transmission fluid and filter

how do i get an oasis report?

The Oasis is the dealer records of repairs. I got mine by taking my VIN to my local ford dealer and they printed me out a copy. Very handy to have so you know what repairs (at least those by the dealer) have been performed.
