Bought '04 F350 with 6.0 lt diesel that had new long block installed, overheated on way home. Ford dealership replaced water pump 3 times. Truck ran 8-9000m then started overheating. Dealership replaced radiator due to low flow rate. overheated under load pulling 35 foot fifth wheel, but runs fine with no trailer. back to dealership, now they say need head gaskets and heads. At 1600-1700 rpms cools fine and a/c works. over that does overheat and a/c doesn't work. Wouldn't that be fan clutch? or heat sensor. engine is still in warranty. New long block installed at 98,000m. Truck now has 109,000m. Taking it to another dealer today. Is there hope after this or is it time for new truck. If so, which motor. I have heard bad things about 6.4 liter also. Come on Ford get Cummins or how about Cat getting in this game? Unhappy Camper
