EGR and head gaskets?
Well last week my truck threw a ton of smoke after some hard work and I initially thought it was a blown turbo coming from a background of 4cyl turbos. Then a couple people on here told me it was probably an egr cooler and/or head gaskets. At 200,000 miles the warranty is long gone and I'm gonna do the egr delete kit myself but if it happens to have blown head gaskets I'm probably just going to try and trade her in. The truck still pulls very hard and can easily light up the tires. It has a ton of coolant dripping out of the exhaust and the overflow bottle isn't venting or have any residue. I was wondering if there was a way to tell if it was the head gasket as well. anyone have any tips or advice on that? thanks -Elias
