Truck wouldnt restart

last friday i shut my truck off for maybe 3 mintues to go into the store, came back and it wouldnt start, just cranked. downloaded my programmer out, still nothing. unhooked both batteries, still nothing. ended up towing it home. didnt start till saturday morning. had oil pressure, havent had the problem since then. anyone have any ideas. HPOP or FICM? or something else?

it could very well be your HPOP mine quite las week when i was driving down the road, and a buddy of mine has trouble with his that it wont start unless its cooled down its something to do with the oil system

My truck had the same exact problem. I couldn't restart it until the truck was fully cooled down. I brought it to the dealership and it ended up being a leak on my hpop. Ford had a service bulletin on this specific situation, they fix the leak and install some sort of bracket that helps stop it in the future.

i got it scanned, didnt throw any codes. hasnt done it since, you would think it would keep doing it..maybe not

hi my truck did the same....
I parked the truck went to the bank...was gone 5 minutes and when i came back it would turn over but would not start....it would start with ether though...and run fine...but would not start on its own...didn't matter if the engine was hot or cold....

So i ended up having to take it to the dealer...

they replaced IPR, and a leaking branch tube adaptor...

was an expensive repair...hope your truck dosn't have the same problem...
