04 fx4 NO POWER also will an 07 f550 6.0 fit in it?

i test drove a truck today, price is right, but it has NO POWER. i mean none at all. I noticed that i never heard the turbo make any whistle/whining noises, well maybe once.

probably the only 6.0 i have driven, but i have driven alot of 7.3 trucks, and a stock 7.3 turbo is way louder

i mean this thing just about wouldnt do 50mph. truck has 185k, has had 5 injectors replaced. also truck has some kind of box on it in its lowest settin.

im wondering if the vgt needs to be cleaned, or is the turbo just needs to be replaced.

also i wonder if the converter is stopped up. as far as i know the exhaust system is stock.

didnt notice any smoke at all, black blue or white, none.

i mean this thing was super dog weak. wouldnt even spin a tire in the dirt, but it cranked right up, and seemed to run fine, it just had zero power.

now later in the day i was talking to another guy about the truck and he has an engine that came out of his old service truck that caught fire. its an 07 f550 that had 24k on it, complete motor, but obviously some of the wires are no good due to the fire.

will the turbo or whole engine fit in the 04? i can buy the engine cheap, well in my opinion its cheap.

Need codes from the 04.

Could be something as simple as a bad EBP sensor.
