Question Powersteering/brake whine.

Well, I had the powersteering gear box replaced just over a year ago so ofcourse it is not covered anymore. Anyhow, when I turn at low speeds, the powersteering whines and the wheel stiffins up a bit. When I press the break pedal, I can feel it in the breaks, the whine also gets louder when I hit the break pedal.

Any ideas?

Fluid is full.

sounds like a worn or weak p/s pump. do its get better if you raise the rpm?

Yes, it seems to go away at higher RPMs. It just growls when I steer, or floor the brake pedal.

I am thinking power steering pump?

When the RPMs go up, it goes away.

When I am sitting still, I can turn the wheel and it wheel whine and is hard to turn, but when I rev it up, everything clears up.
