Problem??
Hi all, well like others I am new to diesels too. I am not sure if I have a problem or not, but with my 6.0 excursion from a stop when I "hammer down" I don't get much of a response until I get going a bit. On the highway if I hammer down, it scoots really good. the 6.0 runs like a champ otherwise, great mileage, always runs cool, no trouble codes, it's got 142k on it.
I know the Excursion is heavy and I shouldn't expect it to respond like an Audi Quattro, but what worries me is if I have to get out of trouble from a stop and gun it I'm not going anywhere...or say I have to reach the right lane quick but find myself in the left lane and I know the heavy traffic may not let me over, I'm done...I can't with confidence gun it over to the right lane quick enough. Is there something going on or is this just they way it is stock without some tune to wake it up a bit? Thanks. |

Thats just the stock turbo lag. A tuner will get rid of it mostly.
