if its down the drivers side.....then its a cam sensor o ring leaking...another common leak point is the front crank seal, look on the bolt for the oil pressure regulator right under the lowest pulley.....dead center looking up from the bottom of the front of the motor...

Leak

Unless your warrenty was voided you have 48,000 miles left on your warrenty. It is common for 6.0s to have wet bell housings. As long as its not going drip drip drip on the ground I wouldnt worry about it. But you have every right to go get it checked out. Oil "seepage" is normal on the 6.0's.

Very helpful info guys, thank you!
So is oil seepage something they're required to fix though? Or is that something they'll just call "normal" and give me the usual cold shoulder and run around?

But also, you just gave me a huuuge scare...
I paid an extra almost $3 grand for an extended warranty that puts me to 100,000 miles. Are you saying I didn't need to buy that??? (the reason I only mentioned the 30 day warranty earlier is because I've been debating cancelling this extended one for a refund if I can get all the bad things worked out under the 30 day dealer warranty).

I asked the dealer, the sales guy, the finance manger, the service manager, ALL said that the truck had no warranty at all after 30 days... so I bit the bullet and bought the extended...

Ford diesels

have 5 year 100,000 mile warrenty on the engines and 3/36 on the rest. No, I would go get the leak checked out. I would fix it. I didn't give anyone the cold shoulder. The leak can be fixed.

Ok, thank you again for the opinions. I'll call them up and have it fixed. And I guess I'll keep the extended warranty since it covers every little thing
