hfcm going bad?

should i be able to hear the hfcm running when the truck is going down the road? i put my hand on the hfcm while the truck was at idle and it seemed to vibrate more than i thought it should is this normal? is the hfcm going bad? i havent been able to test fuel pressure yet. is there any other way to tell if its going bad?

pump shouldnt be that loud. when is the last time you chnaged the primary filter. hookup a pressure gauge and run it, that will tell you how its doing.

changed them both about a month ago. did drain a l tank that i had in the back of the truck and was thinking some crap got past that filter and plugged the primary one up at least thats what im hoping for. waiting on new filters now maybe that will fix the problem. the truck runs fine at lower rpm's but when its full throttle the egts stay lower than usual and wont build boost past 18-20 and tranny holds on to gear till after 3000-3500

yeah your 6.0 should be up around 26-28psi boost with stock components, check that primary filtter maybe causing a fuel restriction. if nothing is found test the pressure outputt of the pump at the port on the hfcm and the port on the secondary filter housing. let us know your results

change the fuel filters and put some power service in and it runs like a champ. have not been able to make to get the pressure checked but i cant hear the pump and everything seems to be working fine. i rather pay the 50 dollars for filters than 400 for a pump.
