Will this cause a no hot start ?

Will this rubber thing around the standpipe being all torn up the way it looks be a reason for my 03 6.0 to be a no hot start? This is the top on the passenger side standpipe FYI.

Nope. That does not seal hpo. Probably just a damper would be my guess. Definitely not a seal.
Did you not leak test?

If you follow the sequence to diagnose their issues, and repair them correctly, they're a great engine.
You get what you put in

Great engines? compared to what? the 6.0 is the worst engine in a diesel pickup out there.

It's funny, the ones I hear saying that are almost always the ones who have very limited knowledge of this engine.
Not trying to clown on you here. Just an observation is all

I bought one and had an egr leak found the bulletproofing solution kits like most did some research spent the money to have it all done hoping it would make a reliable engine. and its not "i think that" its common knowledge in the diesel community that the 6.0 powerstroke is the most troublesome engine around...
