Went to plug it into the truck and getting a device comm error. Attempted to plug it into my computer same thing. Extremely annoyed I didn't have a back up for stock tune. Hoping sct can recover it and Warrenties device.... sigh.... never had any issues with it until tonight.
Man awesome! Sct customer service was great. I waited less then 15 seconds on hold and they generated a case number and Warrentied the device. I explained I was worried about my stock tune and he said not a problem. He said if the device has been wiped they will create me a stock tune to flash back to stock. I'm estimating the turn around time for the process to be about 20 days but atleast they're fixing the issue. Thank god my trucks not bricked.
I don't see a need to take off the FICM tune. Just get a new power board and put on it. The tune will still be there, it's on the logic side. I also don't see a need to remove the SCT tune prior to removing the FICM tune.
Ahah yeah I can't believe I didn't make a back-up. Good to know on the ficm. So it's safe to pull it. Not sure why but php said remove sct first for risk of locking it. I wanted to remove the ficm tube because it seems like the turbo lag came after ficm tune. Tomorrow doing injector buzz test and fuel pressure test.
