bucking and jumping problem

Hi, all. Want to start out by saying this is a fantastic forum and the information you've provided has helped me greatly with problems with my truck. That being said, here's my problem:

My truck has an issue where it jumps and bucks when I get to cruising speeds. It usually starts at around 50mph or higher speeds and only happens when I cruise or accelerate very slowly. If I keep a steady speed at a slower rate, it does not happen. If I accelerate quickly or let off the accelerator, the jumping, or bucking, goes away.

I have seen others here with similar problems but with no definitive fix. Would love to hear what you all suggest and it would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to change the fuel filters as a first step. Figured I start there on my own and then move on to getting a diagnostics check as step 2...

I have seen the ICP or injection control pressure sensor cause this to happen. My bro's 04 did the same thing. It will jump cruising down the road or sitting at a stop light. Also welcome to the ORG.

injector miss, what you feel is when you get it into cruising speeds, your in 5th gear lock up, your drivetrain is completely locked in, like driving a manual trans there is no slipping, so you feel the jerk, when you give it a lil gas to creep up in speed the converter doesn't come unlocked, but when you mash down the converter comes unlocked so you don't feel the bucking jerking feeling.

So what is the most likely fix? new injectors? i only have 80,000 miles on it and its an 06. Could it be something simple like the icp sensor or maybe the egr valve? ive seen a couple people with this same problem on this site but none with a definite answer on how to fix the problem

well it could be numerous of things, its not a simple 1960 pontiac with points, there are of alot of controls and sensors, best bet to take it in where they can hook up the IDS and watch data.

not trying to be a d***, i'm a tech and i have customers that come in and say what is it, and my response to them is i won't be able to tell untill i plug it in to the scan tool, drive it, feel it for myself and watch the data.
