Low temp gauge

Hi I'm new to this and this is my first post. I very recently bought an 04 F350 6.0L I have already spent $1300 on repairs, this past weekend the heating wasn't right. The temp gauge hardly moves and the heater blower is luke warm when turned up full? I'm guessing it's the stat, am I right or is it something more sinister?
