turbo boot

I guess i put this in the wrong area so I'll try again.I am blowing the boot off the turbo to the intercooler when pulling my trailer. This time it actually stripped the threads of one of the clamps.Anyone know how I can keep this from happening? This is running in stock mode and only when I am pulling the trailer up hills.

just clean it and buy a new clamp. i would get down on it pretty good. in stock form it really shouldnt blow them off that easily.

you could do a CCV mod as well to help keep oil from getting in them pipes

Did you have the updated tube & boots put on? Our 04 at work was doing the same thing. At the time it was under warranty so off to Ford it went. They installed a new tube and boot. Our problem was solved.

CCV mod is crank case ventilation, basically what you do is remove the hose coming off the driver side valve cover that goes up to the intake right before the turbo and you cap off the intake side of it and run a new hose off the valve cover down the frame rail and let it dump on the ground.

it helps keep oil come coming out the valve cover into the intake..through the turbo and helps keep it out of the pipes, boots and intercooler
