Smoke On Take Off

Ok so i posted a few weeks ago that my truck would smoke everytime i accelerated from a stop until it fully warmed up, then it would go away. I had my truck at ford last week and they replaced the egr valve and cleaned the turbo. It was good for about a day or so and now it back, same as before. Anyone have any thoughts????

What color is the smoke, white?

White smoke after cold start usually means glow plug problem.

There is a valve that controls the injector spooling that may be starting to stick.

Is it losing any coolant?

no its blue-ish, looks like oil, but its not losing any oil according to the dipstick. My fuel milage is also down but the dealer said they scanned it when they had it and it showed no faults so they dont know why my milage went down.

Have you looked inside the air tubing? Some oil could be coming through the ccv to the intake.

If they had to clean the turbo it must have had a lot of oil in it. Take off the oil cap and see if there is a lot of back pressure in the block.

Some may be OK, if it is excessive you could have bypass of the rings or some other compression problem. That could explain the smoke because it would be a little diesel and a little oil. That's when you might get the compression checked.

Some oil going into the intake tube from the ccv is normal so don't get worried if it's a little oil there.

There is a lot of other things it could be related to injection of fuel but when you said they cleaned the turbos and it was OK for a while that sounds like oil getting in there. So there is an oiler for the turbo or through the ccv into the intake tube or exhaust (smoking engine) / both.

Added..

You can't be too sure about the oil level. It's possible oil is being replaced by fuel. It only takes a very small amount of oil to make a lot of smoke so if it's suttle it's likely not too bad.

If all else is good maybe injector problem.
